The
Anne de Melun
The Anne de Melun Corset
is my modernized take on 17th and
18th century corsets and is my tribute to an ancestor of mine. It
offers a smooth silhouette and raises your
bust to high heaven. It is constructed of three layers: the outer
fashion fabric, an inner strength layer of cotton coutil and the
"outer" inside lining of cotton.
It has a front busk, 1/2" spiral boning,
1/2" straight white steel boning along the back grommets, two part
professionally set grommets, small strong stitching, bone casing for
all bones except the busk, and front and back modesty panels. Some
sizes will require
additional boning and this will cost extra.
