~ C O R S E T R Y ~
The Dolce custom corset is a very long line historical Edwardian overbust corset made with a straight front and S-curve shape. It arrives right at the bust line and does not completely cover the breasts. It has front bust gores and comes down very, very low over the hips. Because the hips are so low and to accomodate for sitting, the boning does not come to the bottom edge of the corset. You can ask to have the boning come to the bottom at no extra charge. It is constructed of three layers: the outer fashion fabric, an inner lining of coutil and the "outer" inside lining of cotton. It has a minimum of 22 pieces of 1/2" boning consisting of a front busk, spiral boning, straight white steel boning along the back grommets and busk, two part professionally set grommets, small strong stitching, felled seams, bone casing for all bones except the busk, and front and back modesty panel. Some very voluptuous sizes may require an additional amount of boning that will cost extra. This corset is suitable for tight lacing, but not necessarily for training as, due to its length, it will not be a very "practical" corset! An underbust version of the Dolce will be offered in the future.
